Rental Rate Policies

Rental rates

  • 4 hour rates are based on 4 hours clock time during normal business hours.
  • 4 hour overnight rates start after 3pm and need to be returned by 9am the following day.
  • Daily rates are based on a 24 hour day.
  • Weekly rates are based on a 7 day week.
  • The 4 week rate is based on 28 days.
  • The daily overtime rate is prorated at 1/6 of the daily rate.
  • The weekly overtime rate is prorated at 1/5 of the weekly rate.
  • The 4 week overtime rate is prorated at 1/22 of the 4 week rate.

Weekend rental rates

  • Saturday after 3pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 1 days rent.
  • Saturday before 3pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 1-1/2 days rent.
  • (Saturday winter hours) after 12pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 1 days rent.
  • Friday after 3pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 2 days rent.

Hour meter rates

  • Daily rates are based on 8 hours run time per day.
  • Weekly rates are based on 40 hours run time per week.
  • The 4 week rate is based on 160 hours run time per 4 weeks.
  • The overnight rate is based on 4 hrs. Maximum run time. Over 4 hours will be charged for 1 days rent.
  • 1-1/2 day rates are based on 12 hours run time.
  • All hour meter overtime is charged at 1/8 of the daily rate per hour.

Holiday rental rates

  • All 1 day holiday rentals picked after 3pm the day before the holiday and returned by 9am on the 2nd day will be charged 1 day's rent.
  • All 2 day holiday rentals picked after 3pm the day before the holiday and returned by 9am on the 3rd day will be charged 1-1/2 days rent.

Party supply rental rates

  • Friday after 3pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 1 day's rent.
  • Friday before 3pm returned by 9am Monday will be charged 1-1/2 days rent.
  • Friday after 3pm returned after 9am Monday will be charged 1-1/2 days rent.
  • All 2 day holiday rentals picked after 3pm the day before the holiday and returned by 9am on the 3rd day will be charged 1 days rent.
  • All other party rental rates are based on standard daily, weekly, and 4 week rental rates.

General Rental Policies

Identification

  • A valid drivers license or state ID is required for all rentals.
  • A state ID or non-driver license will not be accepted for any trailer rentals.

Deposit

  • All rentals require a deposit to be paid up front at the start of the rental period. Please see the online rental equipment catalog for rental and deposit rates.
  • The deposit may be increased for rental periods of more than one day, please call for pricing.
  • We accept cash, check or credit for the deposit. (We do not accept American Express cards.)
  • We do not accept any third party checks, and your ID must match your check.
  • All phoned in and third party credit card deposits will be charged to your credit card at the start of the rental period.
  • All customers with a Ted's Rental charge account are not required to pay a deposit.

Reservations

  • Reservations for tools and equipment can be made in person or by phone.
  • Reservations for tents and larger party supply orders can be made by phone but may need to be confirmed in person.

Delivery

  • Delivery is available for an extra charge. Please call for pricing.

Refueling charges

  • All equipment that uses gasoline or diesel full is sent out with a full tank of fuel at the time of rental. We ask that customer returns the equipment with a full tank fuel to avoid refueling charges.
  • All equipment that uses kerosene is sent out with a partial tank of fuel and can be returned without any refueling charges.

Replacement of malfunctioning equipment

  • If the rented equipment breaks down or becomes unsafe as a result of normal use, the customer should stop using the equipment and return it to Ted’s Rental. The equipment will be replaced if available or repaired by Ted's Rental as needed in a timely manor.
  • Ted’s Rental is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages as the result of equipment malfunctions, including job delays or property damage.

Accidental damage

  • Sometimes accidents happen. The customer is responsible for all damages regardless of fault.
  • The customer is responsible for repair or replacement of all flat or damaged tires.

 

Insurance

  • The insurance for all rented equipment is the responsibility of the customer on the signed rental contract.
